Introducing the Gemini Sol Band

The Gemini Sol Band, (formerly known as Gemini Jazz), was founded by three Geminis: Zandra "Z" Amato, lead vocals, Bruce Duran, bass, and Dan Brodsky, guitar and vocals. The band expanded into a sextet when joined by Yves Tan, tenor sax and congas, Bill Van Bloom, drums, and Charlie Abraham, keys.

Over the years, we've played a variety of venues including The Coconut Grove, Ella's at the Airport, Sevy's Bar + Kitchen, private parties, wineries, and charity events including C.A.S.A. of Silicon Valley Annual Fundraiser and Santa Cruz Chamber Annual Gala.

As Gemini Jazz, we began as a straight-ahead jazz band paying homage to artists from Ella Fitzgerald, Peggy Lee and Nat King Cole to Diana Krall, Natalie Cole and Michael Bublé.

Over time Gemini Jazz evolved an eclectic blend of jazz, funk, R & B, soul, with a little Latin flavor and is now known as Gemini Sol Band. Our goal is to make music that moves your body and soul.
